Tis the Season

It's upon us again. And I never tire of it. The Season that is. The Season of Christmas. Somehow this quaint story of the God of the Universe coming to earth in such a humble way has a way of causing millions to be reflective as to the meaning of life and our place in it. These same millions will go back to their existence after these weeks are over but for now, they're kinder, more benevolent and caring than at other times. It's amazing and fun to behold.

Every year the season is colored by the news of the day. This year, the political correctness of saying "Happy Holidays" seems to be under attack. (Can you say, "It's about time?"). Many people like myself, tired of worrying about "not offending others" by saying "Merry Christmas" are starting to say "Just say It!! Say "Merry Christmas". Why have we waited so long to take a stand. Sorry atheists and agnostics. This is my Father's world. You can live in it. You can deny that it was created by a God who loves you. And you don't have to say "Merry Christmas" if you don't want to but I'm going to. After all, it's His birthday and He is the Messiah...the Christ that has come to redeem us. So Merry Christmas world! It's time to "let earth receive her king!"
